These spreads map out all the different Khaleeji (Gulf) greetings and their respective responses. Greetings are important in our culture, and Khaleejis have a long list of set greetings and responses compared to the West, where “Congratulations” is fit for any celebration, and there isn’t any expectation to what should be said as a response. The younger generation in the Gulf stresses out about learning all the greetings and their respective responses. And always memorize the responses so that they don’t mumble gibberish as a response.
